The Youth Performance Institute combines mentorship, coaching, character development, and technology to ensure kids of all backgrounds have the tools they need to overcome personal challenges, advance their talents, and live their healthiest and best lives.

Kelsey Abergel
Executive Director
Kelsey Abergel is the founding Executive Director of the Youth Performance Institute. Kelsey’s career has spanned from the classroom, to technology and strategic consulting, to scaling enterprise EdTech solutions both nationally and internationally. Kelsey is passionate about making an impact at scale for youth and believes in harnessing the power of technology to create community and impact.
Justin Nordell
Director of Operations
Justin Nordell began his career as a Social Studies and English curriculum developer before segueing into entertainment as an ADR Director and Scriptwriter for subsidiaries of Sony. Becoming a director of the renowned Philadelphia Film Festival, Justin then spent nearly a decade thereafter running a music school, music venue, and music festival in Philadelphia to international acclaim. Justin is thrilled to be returning to his education roots at YPI.
Andrea Rose Cardoni
Education and Administrative Manager
Andrea spent her early career working in classrooms all throughout Philadelphia, curating curriculum that allows students to explore Theatre Performance through lessons in Social Emotional Learning. She believes in lessons that equip students with the confidence and tools to express themselves freely, and that they truly can be transformative. She is dedicated to continuing this work with YPI.
